Principled Republicans

Is there any shot that a Jeff Flake, Ben Sasse, Susan Collins or Rob Portman (heck even John McCain) step up and put their money where their mouth is?  Politically, I don't agree with these folks, but there is some principle there.  I wonder if they will turtle up inside their shells, or I wonder if they will have the courage of their convictions.

It's already been interesting to see McCain put some shots across the bow of SS Small Hands with respect to Russia.  Will he bring along his chum Lindsey Graham?  Who knows?  In a time as seemingly hopeless as this, I am grasping at any straws.
